Car/Truck Washing Nozzles

Removing accumulated dirt, dust, salt, and grime from automobiles and work trucks.

Over time cars can become coated with dirt, mud, salts, and other grime that can cause corrosion or affect appearance. Industrial work trucks and vehicles in the farming, mining, and waste management industries among others, frequently become so covered in dirt, mud, and other residues that it may interfere with the vehicles ability to operate safely on public road ways. Water wash systems can effectively remove these residues form vehicles improving appearance, prolonging life, and allowing for safe operation.

Spray nozzles can efficiently spray and direct water, soaps, cleaning chemicals, wax, and sealants to desired areas, therefore optimizing the applications of these wash fluids and chemicals and reducing waste and operating costs. These nozzles are frequently combined with sensors and control systems to allow for the creation of completely automatic, hands-free operation allowing the operator to stay within the vehicle at all times.

Selecting a Car/Truck Washing Nozzle:

Important factors to consider:

  • Material or residue to be removed
  • Size & shape of cars/trucks to be washed
  • Stationary vs moving wash applications
    • Speed of cars/trucks (if moving)
  • Available nozzle mounting locations
  • Available/required flow rates
  • Available pressure drop (∆P) across the nozzle
    • ∆P = supply pressure at nozzle inlet - process pressure outside nozzle
  • Our experienced engineers can help determine which nozzle will perform as required with your design details

Common Car/Truck Washing Nozzle Uses and Industries:

  • Automatic car washes (in-bay, conveyer, or self serve)
    • Pre-soak
    • Coating of soaps, detergents, wax, sealants, or other chemicals/coatings
    • Impact cleaning
      • Remove dirt, mud, grime, and other residues
    • Rinsing
  • Truck washing stations
    • Remove the excessive buildup of dirt and mud from the undercarriage, wheels, and exterior of trucks and work vehicles that can occur in farming, mining, quarries, construction, and other industrial applications, prolonging work life and complying with regulations for operation on public roadways
