Particle Fluidization
Fluidized bed air distributor nozzles inject air upwards through a bed of solid particles. The air injected upwards through the particles causes it to act like a fluid. This is chiefly used to fluidize solid particles for more efficient and rapid combustion. Coal, solid waste, biomass, tires, and other burnable solids are common fuels that may use this technology.
