Water Deluge Washing

Deluge washing is the process of distributing a high volume of water over an object to remove contaminants. Nozzles can significantly improve this process by consistently providing a uniform spray to wash objects the same way every time. Deluge nozzles are much more efficient at washing than simply pouring water because nozzles create more force on contact areas as well as spraying only where needed; saving a lot of water and washing more effectively at the same time.

Selecting a Deluge Wash Nozzle:

Full cone nozzles are excellent at water deluge washing. MaxiPass Full Cone nozzles are ideal because they provide a very uniform spray and have the most clog resistant design of any axial whirl nozzle. BETE's Full Cone WL nozzles are great for deluge washing when lower flow rates are called for.

BETE has many Flat Fan nozzles as well, which are preferable when washing objects that are moving such as items on a conveyor belt. BETE's FF nozzles produce an extra wide Flat Fan spray in a durable, one-piece, clog resistant construction. NF nozzles spray Flat Fan patterns in a variety of widths. NFD nozzles provide the same spray performance as offered by the NF and are supplied with dovetail connections that make maintenance simple by always guaranteeing correct alignment of the fan sprays.

Standard manufacturing materials for the MaxiPass are Brass, 316 Stainless Steel, PVC, polypropylene, and PTFE. The WL is available standard in all the same materials as the MaxiPass with the addition of 303 Stainless Steel. The fan nozzles all available in Brass, 303 Stainless Steel, 316 Stainless Steel, PVC, and PTFE. Special materials are also available, contact BETE with your requirements.
