Production manager, cnc operations

The Production Manager directly supports the CNC Machine side of the business. They will directly lead the appointed Shift Supervisors to ensure all areas of responsibilities are met within production, compliance within regulations, and operational effectiveness. Monitor overall daily operations specific to the production output from on-time in full delivery to our customers and keeping sourcing materials and shipping moving forward. Additionally, the Production Manager will ensure all equipment is in working order, and our team is conscience of all safety and quality standards. The Production Manager plays an active role in the maintaining employee confidentiality and performance management by coaching, leading, mentoring, and motivating employees. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set clear expectations that align with the core manufacturing values, purpose, and mission.
  • Provide input on yearly capital request.
  • Ensure that employee reviews are completed by team.
  • Establish and monitor KPI’s that align to strategic direction and sales forecast.
  • Guide and coach employees through successes and challenges using any of the available tools to do so.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and positive work environment in their department(s).
  • Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards and in conformance with ISO procedures.
  • Direct and monitor supervisors and direct reports to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
  • Identify and recommend training needs for supervised employees.
  • Advise on optimum employee levels for all production departments.
  • Coordinate with the Continuous Improvement team to address bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in the most cost-effective manner available.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and   rework data.
  • Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing and maintenance procedures (e.g.,6s safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
  • Identify, initiate, and coordinate major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Leadership experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience


2nd sHIFT, CNC Machine operator/set up

Pay $18 $25 /hr (+) S/D (+) Paid lunch breaks = (Premium Shift Differentials Included: 10% - 2nd shift, on top of base pay)

Our CNC Machine Operators possess sound technical knowledge in all areas of machine operation AND set up. Our team is responsible for critically thinking, having a strong understanding of shop mathematics, working with engineering drawings, various types of precision measuring instruments including; verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc., as well as adherence to assembly drawings, and a precise focus on attention to detail. Having a familiarity with “macro programming”, is a plus! Job Qualifications/Experience & Technical Skills Required:

  • 1-3 years’ experience with CNC machinery.
  • Operate CNC machines; load and unload parts, minor machine offsets, minor tool changes, measure, and document quality records.
  • Ensured specifications compliance of first run piece and spot check succeeding pieces.
  • Verify machines settings and programmed control data for accuracy.
  • Set controls and regulated speed, feed, coolant flow and angle of cut.
  • Work to find the most practical ways to maximize value and time while meeting or exceeding requirements throughout manufacturing.
  • Responsible for day-to-day maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times following established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other areas of manufacturing as required.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00p/h (depends on experience)

Shift(s):  2nd shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm, includes PAID LUNCH BREAKS

Shift Differential: 2nd = 10% of base pay

2nd shift, CNC Utility Worker

 Pay $17 $18 /hr (+) S/D (+) Paid lunch breaks = (Premium Shift Differentials Included: 10% - 2nd shift, on top of base pay)

The primary role of the CNC Utility Worker is to work with area lead and other machinists in Dept. N. Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail is vital in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment that have been setup to operate, producing parts and tools from different resources including metal and plastic.  
  • Wash and deburr parts as well as package parts.
  • Load bar stock into machines
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine conditions media as required. 
  • Attend to scrap barrels and load barrels into scrap trailer.
  • Verifies conformance of finished parts to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary. 
Interpersonal Skills: 
  • Ability to understand and follow written/verbal directions and work procedures.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a small team. 
  • Proven ability to take initiative. 
  • Established record of taking pride in their work to provide a high-quality product to the customer. 
Technical Skills:  
  • Basic mathematics and computer data entry skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
Working Environment: 
  • Reports to the Shift Lead
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures. 
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. 
  • Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure that safe work practices are followed and maintained.
  • High school diploma, technical training, or equivalent professional experience 
  • 1-3 years Vocational Technical experience 

Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00p/h (depends on experience)
